E-zine portion of site

I really think you need to add an e-zine portion to the site. I have talked witrh a few reps for different bike companies and they would be willing to supply demo bikes and product to be tested and reviewed in a local site. It would be products that are carried by the local shops too, so it would benefit the local shops, riders (by providing feedback on products available to them locally), and would benefit the site by encouraging advertising from the larger national companies (ie., Trek, Cannondale, Bontrager, Niner, Kona, etc...)

It could updated with new articles every month and also include local rider spotlights, club/team spotlights, articles on events (local of course) and so on. If done properly and based on what is local to the area, it could be wildly succesful and popular. Local bike shops could point to reviews of a product they sell on the site (driving more traffic to the site), the site could drive customers to a shop for a specific product (encouraging shops to advertise and work with the site). National brands could promote products through the site's reviews, helping local shops and the site alike. Exposure would expand and increase site traffic (thereby increasing revenue to the site). It wouldn't take a lot on the review and testing side, just getting the site setup with the product review and article sections, and then someone to edit the reviews and tests (grammar, spelling, etc...) There could even be a section on travel spots, with reviews and ratings (ie., Raystown, Jim Thorpe, Patapsco, etc...) for local riders to see and get info on places for day trips to ride. (expanding the sites reach even further and allowing for a more attractive sell to advertisers)
