RideOneNine

We're a group of men, women and teenagers (mostly men) who love to ride, and do it year round. We primarily ride Brandywine, Middle Run and White Clay trails, and sometimes venture to other parks such as Elk Neck, Iron Hill, Fair Hill, Wissahickon and others. Generally speaking, at least one ride is scheduled each weekend, with a few rides during the week as our schedules allow (see group ride details below). Most of our rides are moderate+ pace.

Tour de Cure - American Diabetes Association Wilmington DE

05/14/2011 - 1:39pm

Tour de Cure is back!

The Tour de Cure a ride and a signature American Diabetes event is slated for May 14th 2011. (Save the Date!)

The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Whether you ride 10 miles or 100 miles, you will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer you on!

The ride is organized by volunteers from the Delaware Cycling Community & the American Diabetes Association.

The annual event will kick off its first meeting for interested parties including members of the riding community & sponsors. Attendees will be introduced to the concept and potential of the Tour de Cure and the volunteer committee will outline volunteer & sponsor opportunities’.

Last year, more than 50,000 cyclists in 80 Tour events raised nearly $17 million to support the mission of the ADA: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

The Tour event has a successful formula which can only get better with input from the cycling community including riders, clubs, bike shops and sponsors.
